Humantay Lake Tour from Cusco | Full-Day Hike to Turquoise Lagoon

Your Humantay Lake adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco’s city center. From there, we will travel by tourist transport through scenic Andean landscapes toward the town of Mollepata, where you will enjoy a local breakfast before continuing to the starting point of the hike.

Once we arrive at the trailhead, your guide will give you the main recommendations for the walk. Then, we will begin the uphill hike toward Humantay Lake, surrounded by mountains, valleys, and impressive views of the Andes. The hike is moderate, mainly due to the altitude, but the scenery along the way makes the experience truly rewarding.

After reaching Humantay Lake, you will have time to admire its turquoise waters, take photos, rest, and enjoy the view of the snow-capped mountains that surround this beautiful natural destination. Your guide will also explain the cultural meaning of the lake and its connection with the sacred Salkantay Mountain.

After enjoying the lagoon, we will begin the descent back to the trailhead and return by tourist transport to a local restaurant for lunch. Finally, we will drive back to Cusco, where the tour ends near the city center in the late afternoon.
