Spend the day discovering Fes with a local guide and explore the cultural and architectural highlights of one of Morocco’s most historic imperial cities.
Walk through the UNESCO listed Fes Medina and visit important landmarks including Al Quaraouiyine, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, the traditional souks, and the famous Chouara Tanneries. Along the way, experience the city’s rich heritage, lively atmosphere, and centuries-old traditions.

Depart Fes and journey through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its distinctive Alpine-style architecture, before continuing through cedar forests and the mountain landscapes around Midelt.
Travel onward through the impressive Ziz Valley, with its palm groves and dramatic desert scenery, before arriving in Erfoud, often considered the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

The tour includes 11 nights over 12 days. Accommodation may be in hotels, traditional riads and a desert camp.
Riads are often located within historic medinas. Because vehicles cannot reach every entrance, guests may need to walk a short distance with their luggage.
Desert camp facilities vary by category. Confirm whether the booked tent has a private bathroom, heating or air conditioning.
Breakfast arrangements and any included desert dinner should be shown clearly on the final booking voucher.
Travel and sightseeing
This is a multi-city road tour with several long driving days. Day 5, from Fes to Erfoud, and Day 8, from Boumalne Dades to Marrakech, involve substantial time in the vehicle.
Driving times are approximate and can change because of traffic, weather, road conditions and sightseeing stops.
The Fes and Marrakech medina tours involve walking on narrow, sometimes uneven streets. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
The Koutoubia Mosque is viewed from outside. Access to other religious and historic sites depends on local rules and opening hours.
The Casablanca sightseeing stop on Day 11 depends on the arrival time from Essaouira. Confirm an interior visit to Hassan II Mosque separately if requested.
Sahara Desert
Desert temperatures can change sharply between day and night. Bring sun protection and a warm layer.
Large suitcases may be inconvenient for the desert camp transfer. A small overnight bag is useful for the Merzouga stay.
The method of reaching the camp—vehicle, camel ride or a combination—must be confirmed before booking. Travelers who prefer not to ride a camel should request a vehicle transfer in advance.
