Overnight stay in Calgary. Element Calgary Airport or smiller
(Bed and Breakfast)
Set out today on a spectacular journey into the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
Depart Calgary and travel north through rolling foothills that gradually give way to dramatic mountain scenery. The route takes you through Banff National Park, Canada’s first national park, offering breathtaking views of towering peaks, alpine forests, and pristine wilderness.
Keep your camera ready — wildlife sightings are common along this corridor, including elk, moose, mountain goats, and occasionally bears.
Arrive in Hinton, a charming mountain town near Jasper National Park. Enjoy dinner at your leisure at a local restaurant before settling in for the night. The Kanata Hinton Hotel or smiller
Today features one of the most iconic scenic drives in North America — the legendary Icefields Parkway (Highway 93).
Travel alongside glaciers, turquoise lakes, and rugged mountain peaks as you journey south toward Banff. Stop for photos at the powerful Athabasca Falls, where rushing glacial waters carve through a dramatic canyon.
Arrive at the Glacier Discovery Centre for a truly unforgettable experience. Board the iconic Ice Explorer, a massive all-terrain vehicle, and venture onto the ancient Athabasca Glacier, where you’ll have the opportunity to walk on ice thousands of years old. Continue to the Glacier Skywalk, a glass-floored observation platform suspended 280 meters (919 ft) above the Sunwapta Valley, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
If time permits, stop at Peyto Lake, famous for its striking turquoise color and distinctive wolf-head shape — one of the Rockies’ most photographed lakes.
Continue to Banff National Park and enjoy free time to explore the charming town of Banff at your own pace, browsing its boutiques, cafés, and scenic streets.
Later, proceed to Canmore for check-in and overnight stay. Dinner is at your leisure at a local restaurant. Chateau Canmore Hotel or Smiller
Overnight: Canmore / Chateau Canmore Hotel or smiller
Begin the day with a scenic drive to Lake Louise, one of the most iconic and photographed destinations in the Canadian Rockies. Admire its brilliant turquoise waters, framed by towering peaks and overlooked by the elegant Fairmont Château Lake Louise.
Continue into Yoho National Park, whose name — meaning “awe” — perfectly reflects its dramatic landscapes. The park is renowned for towering rock walls, powerful waterfalls, and peaks rising over 3,000 meters.
Enjoy time at Emerald Lake, known for its vivid color and stunning mountain reflections, followed by a stop at the Natural Bridge, where the Kicking Horse River has carved a remarkable stone formation through solid rock.
If time allows, make a brief stop at Bow Falls, a wide, scenic waterfall near Banff that offers excellent photo opportunities.
Return to Canmore in the evening. Enjoy dinner at your leisure and overnight stay.
Overnight: Calgary / Element Calgary Airport Hotel or smiller
After breakfast, depart for Calgary, with memorable stops along the way.
Experience the Banff Gondola, ascending to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, where panoramic views of the Bow Valley and surrounding mountain ranges provide one of the most spectacular vistas in the region.
Continue to Lake Minnewanka, a beautiful glacial lake framed by rugged peaks. Guests may choose to take the Lake Minnewanka Cruise or a self-driven boat experience (both optional and subject to availability).
Proceed to Calgary for an orientation tour, passing through key landmarks and highlights of this vibrant city, including the modern downtown area and Calgary Tower (view from outside).
Dinner will be on your own at a local restaurant before check-in at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Calgary International Airport via hotel shuttle for your onward journey.
Thank you for traveling with us. Bon Voyage, and we wish you a safe and pleasant flight home!
