About this tour
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and board a minibus. From there, we'll set off to the town of Cusipata, located two and a half hours away.
Having reached Cusipata, we'll fuel up for the day ahead with a hearty breakfast before driving to Pitumarka and onwards to our destination: Palcoyo, also known as the new Rainbow Mountain.
Leaving the minibus behind, we'll embark on an hour and a half trek through the impressive mountain landscapes. The striking rainbow of colours of Palcoyo is amazing, and you'll feel as though you've travelled to another world.
We'll take the time to enjoy the new Rainbow Mountain and, of course, take a few souvenir photos—don't forget your camera!
On the way back, we'll make a 20-minute stop where you can visit the 3 bridges of Combapata by yourself. Afterwards, we'll go to a local restaurant for a delicious buffet lunch and to refuel.
We'll then return to the minibus for the journey back to your hotel in Cusco, where you'll be dropped off after a total of 14 hours.

What makes this tour special
Itinerary
4:00–5:00 a.m. Scheduled pickups in the historic city center (You will receive a confirmation in advance with a more precise pickup time).
The first leg of the journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the village of Cusipata, where breakfast is scheduled; you’ll have about 30 minutes for breakfast, after which you will continue, this time taking the mountain roads that will lead you, after about an hour of ascent, to the Palccoyo parking lot—the starting point of the loop trail. After the first 10 minutes of walking, you’ll see the first of the three “colorful mountains” in the area. Upon reaching the highest point after about 40 minutes of easy walking, you’ll stop to take in the magnificent scenery and then, following your guide’s instructions, return to the starting point.
The return route, which takes about the same amount of time as described above, includes a stop in Cusipata for lunch, arriving in Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
