Highlights
Itinerary
Upon arrival at Frankfurt Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in downtown Frankfurt. Rest of the day at leisure for private activities. Take a stroll through the Römerberg Square, admire the half-timbered houses, and enjoy a walk along the Main River promenade. Cross the bridge to the opposite bank for a panoramic view of the city’s striking skyline, affectionately nicknamed “Mainhattan.” Overnight in Frankfurt
Breakfast. Come today
with us to one of the most beautiful destinations in Germany: the Rhine Valley,
a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The winding Rhine loops through the mountain
ranges, the small, traditional villages, the steep terraces of the vineyards
and the mighty medieval castles on both sides of the bank form the magnificent
panorama of this river landscape. Above the vineyards you have a wonderful view
of the valley. In the warmer seasons, it's worth taking a slow cable car ride
down to the river (optional). Lunch is served in our selected event location
directly on the bank in Rüddesheim/Assmannshausen. The boat trip is one of the
highlights of your trip. We will leave the restaurant and walk to the pier to
embark one of the typical white Rhine steamer ships. Slowly downstreaming the
most beautiful part of the valley, you will enjoy the stunning scenic beauty of
the river panorama. Approx. one and a half hour later we have reached the
famous Loreley Rock: The famous poem of Heinrich Heine describes the beautiful
female sitting on the cliff above the Rhine and combing her golden hair,
distracting shipmen with her beauty and song, causing them to crash on the
rocks. At St. Goarshausen we will disembark. After the boat ride we will return
to Frankfurt alongside the river banks by bus. Overnight in Frankfurt. (B)
(L)
Breakfast at the Hotel. Departure towards the city of
Würzburg, the gateway to the Romantic Road. This lively university town is
renowned for its baroque architecture, graceful bridges, and outstanding wines.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour (approx. 3 hours) through the old
town, including the Residenz Palace, one of Europe’s most important baroque
masterpieces, as well as the Marienberg Fortress overlooking the river. Evening
at leisure to explore local wine taverns or dine at one of the cozy Franconian
restaurants. Overnight in Würzburg.. (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today’s
route takes you deeper into the Romantic Road, passing through charming
villages and idyllic countryside. Our first stop will be in Weikersheim, a
picturesque town famous for its Renaissance palace and delightful gardens,
reminiscent of Versailles on a smaller scale. Continue to Creglingen, where you
will visit the Herrgottskirche, home to the extraordinary wooden altar carved
by master sculptor Tilman Riemenschneider — a true Gothic masterpiece. Arrive
in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the most perfectly preserved medieval towns
in Europe. The afternoon is free to wander the cobblestone streets, explore its
unique Christmas shops (opened all year round), and enjoy the fairy-tale
atmosphere. In the evening, join the famous “Night Watchman’s Tour”, a fun and
informative guided walk through the dimly lit streets that brings Rothenburg’s
history to life. Overnight in Rothenburg. (B).
Breakfast at the Hotel. Continue your journey along the Romantic Road, making stops
at two of its most enchanting towns. First, visit Dinkelsbühl, often considered
the most beautiful medieval town in Germany, with its perfectly preserved
fortifications and pastel-colored houses. Then continue to Nördlingen, built
inside the crater of a meteorite impact 15 million years ago — its circular
layout and complete city wall make it a unique stop. Arrive in Augsburg, one of
Germany’s oldest cities, founded by the Romans. In the afternoon, enjoy a
guided city tour, discovering landmarks such as the Town Hall, the Perlach
Tower, and the Fuggerei — the world’s oldest social housing complex still in
use. Overnight in Augsburg.
(B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the Bavarian Alps, passing through Landsberg am Lech, a charming riverside town with colorful houses and a lively market square. Continue to Hohenschwangau, nestled at the foot of the Alps. Visit the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle, built by King Ludwig II and immortalized by Walt Disney as the inspiration for his Sleeping Beauty Castle. The guided tour will lead you through lavish rooms and breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the alpine landscape. Entry tickets included. Evening at leisure in Hohenschwangau. Overnight in Hohenschwangau.
Breakfast at the
hotel. Departure towards Munich, the vibrant capital of Bavaria. In the
afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour including the historic center, Marienplatz
with its famous Glockenspiel, the Residenz Palace, and the elegant boulevards
lined with shops and cafés. In the evening, celebrate the end of your journey
with a farewell dinner at the legendary Hofbräuhaus Brewery, one of the world’s
most famous beer halls — a perfect setting to toast to an unforgettable German
adventure. Overnight in Munich. (B)
Breakfast at the
hotel. Today is yours to enjoy Munich at your own pace, a city where tradition
and modernity coexist harmoniously. Whether you wish to continue exploring its
elegant boulevards or venture beyond to discover nearby treasures, the
possibilities are as diverse as Bavaria itself. Stay in the city and delve
deeper into its royal heritage with a visit to Nymphenburg Palace, the
former summer residence of the Bavarian kings. Surrounded by vast gardens,
tranquil lakes, and classical pavilions, the palace reflects the grandeur of
Munich’s golden age. Its beautifully furnished halls and delicate porcelain
collections speak of centuries of refinement and artistic taste. For those
drawn to history and art, the Munich Residenz offers an unforgettable
journey through the past. Once the seat of the powerful Wittelsbach dynasty,
this sprawling complex of palaces, courtyards, and treasure chambers reveals
the wealth and cultural sophistication of one of Europe’s most illustrious royal
families. Alternatively, travelers interested in reflection and remembrance can
join an excursion to the Dachau Memorial Site, located a short drive
from Munich. The visit is a powerful and educational experience, offering
profound insight into one of the darkest chapters of the 20th century, yet
conveying a message of resilience and peace. If you prefer a day immersed in
scenic beauty, we recommend a full-day excursion across the border to Salzburg,
Austria — the elegant baroque city of Mozart and “The Sound of Music.”
Wander through its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where narrow
lanes, charming cafés, and graceful domes are set against the backdrop of the
Alps. Stroll along Getreidegasse, visit Mozart’s birthplace, and enjoy the
refined atmosphere that makes Salzburg one of Europe’s most romantic cities. Whichever
option you choose, this day will enrich your journey with new experiences and
lasting impressions — a fitting finale to a trip that celebrates the very best
of Germany and its neighbors. (B)
