Los Haitises National Park & Cayo Levantado Day Trip from Puerto Plata

Explore the limestone mogotes, mangroves and caves of Los Haitises, then enjoy lunch and beach time on Cayo Levantado. This shared full-day excursion crosses Samana Bay and reveals the landscapes of one of the Dominican Republic’s distinctive national parks.

The approximately twelve-hour program includes a guide, road transfers, breakfast, a speedboat connection via Cayo Levantado, the catamaran excursion to Los Haitises, cave visits, lunch, soft drinks and water. Alcoholic drinks are included for adults on the return bus journey. Pickup generally begins around 5:00 AM on confirmed operating dates; the exact time depends on your hotel.

Practical information

Bring swimwear, a towel, dry clothes, secure footwear and sun protection. Follow the crew or activity staff’s instructions and tell them before entering the water if you cannot swim. Water activities depend on local conditions.

Hotel pickup and booking

Shared excursion, available on request. Please provide your hotel name when booking. Pickup and return are included for hotels between Sosua and Maimon, including Puerto Plata and Playa Dorada. Meet the transfer in your hotel’s main lobby at the time confirmed before departure; return is to the same hotel. Minimum reservation: two participants.

Cancellation

Cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour start for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start are non-refundable.
