Mardin Ulu Mosque

Mardin Ulu Mosque was built in 1176 by Kutbettin Ilgazi II, han of Diyarbekir, or in 1186 by Husameddin Yavlak Arslan, han of Artuqids, according to sources. It has been known that the first version used to have two minarets, but only one could be reached today. It was damaged during Timur's invasions and was later repaired several times. The last restoration was done between 2010 and 2012.
