2-Day Tanzania Safari Adventure: Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater from Zanzibar

Your journey begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha (07:00 or 08:00 AM). Guests are expected to arrive at the airport at least one hour before departure. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is renowned for its large population of elephants and majestic Baobab trees. Enjoy a thrilling game drive where your guide will share fascinating information about the park’s wildlife and ecosystems. Around midday, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch at a designated site within the park.

In the late afternoon, proceed to Karatu for check-in at Marera Valley Lodge, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full-day safari experience inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World," the crater stretches over 20 km wide and reaches depths of up to 600 meters.

During the game drive, you will explore diverse habitats including grasslands, forests, and Lake Makat—a soda lake frequented by flamingos. The Ngorongoro Crater offers a rare opportunity to see the legendary Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and the endangered black rhinoceros. You may also spot cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and serval cats.

In the afternoon, transfer back to Arusha Airport to catch your return flight to Zanzibar (approx. 1 hour 30 minutes).
