Your safari begins with a warm welcome and briefing by our friendly Jossec Safaris team in Nairobi. After pick-up from your hotel or the airport, we set off in a comfortable 4x4 jeep towards Samburu National Reserve. This scenic drive passes through the beautiful Kenyan countryside, giving you a first glimpse of the landscapes ahead. On arrival in Samburu, enjoy a relaxed afternoon game drive where you may spot the reserve’s unique wildlife, such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.

Wake up to the sounds of the wild and head out for an early morning game drive, the best time to catch predators in action and observe wildlife before the heat of the day. Return to the lodge for breakfast and a short rest, then set out again for a mid-morning drive. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive to explore more of Samburu’s rugged beauty and diverse wildlife. Expect sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, and the Samburu Special Five.
