Welcome to Turkey's Istanbul Airport. The TSG staff will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Bursa. The transportation will take around 3 to 4 hours. The rest of the day is free after checking into the hotel. Overnight in Bursa.
Please remember that you can spend the night with TSG's optional Turkish Bath tour, which will relax you.
(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
After breakfast, we will depart for the Ertugrul Gazi–Sogut City Tour. The Ottoman Empire was founded here in 1299, and Ertugrul Gazi, the father of the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Bey, passed away and was buried here. We will visit the Tomb of Ertugrul Gazi. After that, we will visit the Bilecik Museum. It was initially constructed as a courthouse but was later restored and opened as a museum in 2006.
The next destination is the Shaykh Edebali Tomb, which was built on a cliff and has an amazing panoramic view. Many believed Sheikh Edebali to be the Ottoman Empire's philosophical designer. The 14th-century Orhan Ghazi Mosque, which was built on the edge of a steep cliff, will be visited after. Unlike other mosques, where the minarets are traditionally adjacent to the mosque, the main minaret of Orhan Ghazi Mosque is built on a rock, 30 meters away from the main building.
The subsequent visiting spot is the Clock Tower, located in the heart of Bilecik Province, atop a hill that dominates the city. Sultan Abdulhamit II built it, which has four sides and a clock on each one.
You will be transferred after visiting the Pelitozu Pond, which is covered with pine trees, is 7 kilometers away from the city center. The pond, which has an area of 213.50 hectares, was created for irrigation purposes. Due to its accessibility and size, it receives a lot of attention, especially on weekends. Visitors can also enjoy the lake on sea bikes. Overnight in Bursa.
(Breakfast and Lunch included)
After breakfast, we will first visit the historical Covered Bazaar and Ulucami (Grand) Mosque of Bursa, then take the cable car to Uludag Mountain, which is also known as Mount Olympos, from where the Greek gods watched the Trojan War. After a lunch break, we continue with visits to the Green Mosque and the Green Mausoleum. After the tour, depart for Istanbul. When we arrive in Istanbul, the time will be 17:00–18:00. Check in at your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
(Breakfast and Lunch included)
After breakfast, start your full-day tour. Our first visit will be to the first grand mosque that was built in the city proper, the Eyup Sultan Mosque (1458). Our tour begins with a visit to the Eyup Sultan Mosque. Next to the Eyup Sultan Mosque, we will visit the tombs of the Sahabe, which are very famous in Turkey for being the first generation of Muslims to have come as far as Istanbul and besieged the city.
Topkapi Palace is the next destination. It was the great palace of the Ottoman Sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Today it is a museum and house for an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain; robes worn by the sultans and their families; the Holy Mantle; and relics of the Prophet Mohammed.
After that, our next stop will be the Sultan Ahmet Imperial Mosque. It is located across from St. Sophia, and it was built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet. It is known as the "Blue Mosque" because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.
The ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine will be seen next.
The Hagia Sophia, previously known as the Church of Divine Wisdom, and simply the best of its kind, will be waiting for us at the end of Hippodrome. Hagia Sophia is the greatest surviving example of Byzantine architecture. For 1,000 years, it was the largest church in the world. Today, it is a mosque.
TSG will take you to the bazaar after lunch, where you can find all kinds of Turkish arts and crafts, including hand-painted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware, and trays, water ewers, onyxware, and meerschaum pipes.
After the tour, drop back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Please note: Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays, the Bascilica Cistern can be an alternative. Please contact your consultant for details. Please remember to bring a headscarf when visiting religious sites such as the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia Mosque.
