What makes this tour special
Itinerary
Begin your Kilimanjaro adventure with a transfer to Machame Gate for registration and a trek through the lush rainforest. The trail gradually climbs through dense vegetation to Machame Camp, where you will enjoy dinner and overnight rest.
Continue through the moorland zone as the trail climbs toward the Shira Plateau. Enjoy changing landscapes and beautiful views of Mount Meru and the surrounding area before reaching Shira Camp for dinner and overnight.
Trek across the Shira Plateau toward Lava Tower before descending toward Barranco Camp. This gradual high-altitude ascent and descent provides valuable acclimatization while offering spectacular views of Kilimanjaro's volcanic landscape and Southern Icefields.
After breakfast, climb the famous Barranco Wall with assistance from your guide. Continue through valleys and alpine desert landscapes toward Karanga Camp. This shorter trekking day provides time to rest and prepare for the summit stages.
Begin the final ascent toward Barafu Camp before starting the summit attempt around midnight. Trek through the high-altitude zone toward Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit, descend to Mweka Camp for overnight rest.
Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will complete the park exit procedures and receive your summit certificate if successful. Meet your vehicle and transfer back to Arusha or Moshi, marking the end of your Kilimanjaro trekking adventure.
