You will all continue for an evening orientation walk of the Eternal city passing by the Colosseum and the Roman forum to admire one of the most important Italian sites during the sunset. The tour will finish with an excellent welcome dinner in a local restaurant to start appreciating the Italian cuisine and to get to know better the other travellers.

On the second day, your guide will take you back in time with an orientation walk through the winding roman back streets to discover the most famous sites including Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Don't forget to throw a coin and make a wish! Be prepared to walk all day as there is no better way to explore a new city like Rome than on foot. Reach finally the Vatican city where you will be left free to visit the St. Peter's Basilica house of the Pope or book an exciting but informative 2h walking tour of the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel with a licensed tour guide.

If you feel like hanging later on at night, your tour leader will gladly show you around the coolest bars in town, we are always up for a good time!

You will have the morning to explore Rome in complete freedom, do some souvenir shopping or simply relax. In the early afternoon you will catch a fast-speed train to Florence that our team booked for you. Once in Florence, direct yourself to the accommodation, check in and meet again your tour leader for an original and fun orientation walk of the city to discover the new city and the local traditions. You will see the famous Duomo Cathedral, the old bridge " Ponte Vecchio", We will end the tour in one of the busiest streets of Florence renowned for the many bars where to hang out at night. Here we will stop at the bar rated by the locals as the best aperitivo place in town. Thanks to the great atmosphere you will try the Italian lifestyle; seat down, socialize with the rest of the group, enjoy your drink and then eat and eat some tasty Italian food.

The day starts early 07:00am and will be dedicated to the visit of the famous Cinque Terre, the most characteristic villages of the Liguria regional so famous for their natural beauty, scenic trails, spectacular coast line and sunny beaches. On the way to Cinque Terre we will stop in Pisa to allow you to visit the icon of Italy, the famous Leaning Tower. We'll be back to Florence at 8:30pm.

Full day to wander in Florence, check out the museums, the monuments and some local leather markets in complete freedom. Don't forget to visit the David! If you don't want to spend the time in the city, get out of the crowds and the traffic for a relaxing and fun day to Tuscany for a wine tasting tour or a Vespa tour. Make sure you book in advance the activities online. The tours are from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In the evening we will take you, on request, off the beaten path to Oltrarno, the coolest district of Florence. This traditional and hip side of the river is where you’ll find all sorts of antique stores and local workshops with a big variety of goodies from handmade leather, jewelry and ceramics. The area is packed with bars and restaurants, which make it the local’s favorite spot to get a glass of wine, a fusion cocktail or a craft beer. Grab an unforgettable florentine panini and head up to Piazzale Michelangelo where we will end the day watching the sunset over the most beautiful view of the renaissance city.

Bye Bye Florence, Venice here we come. We will catch the fast speed train from Florence train station and in only 2h we will reach Venice Mestre. After check in to our accommodation, we will head down to town for an orientation walk to explore the city of the many canals, the gondolas, the millions of pigions and the amaizing churches. • The Italy on a Budget tour leaders are most of them raised and born in Italy for you to have the real Italian experience but don't worry, they are all fully fluent in English! The aim of the group leader is to help you have the best trip possible. Your leader takes care of logistics, will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see and recommend great local eating venues. While not being guides in the traditional sense, you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the places visited on the trip, including historical, cultural and social aspects.
  • If you are interested in delving deeper into the historical facts at a specific site or location, we can recommend optional licensed local guide services in most of the main destinations of your trip. Just get in touch with us!
  • Your tour leaders and the composition of your group may change in certain days as the groups are small and we want to make sure you can meet as many new fellow travellers as possible.
