Enjoy a canoe ride along the Cuyabeno River Explore Laguna Grande by traditional canoe Spot exotic wildlife on a night jungle walk Witness colorful birds at a clay lick

Itinerary

Your Amazon journey begins at “El Puente,” where a delicious box lunch awaits before we board a motorized canoe for a breathtaking 2–3 hour ride along the narrow Cuyabeno River. Keep your eyes open for playful monkeys leaping through the trees, colorful tropical birds overhead, and perhaps even a glimpse of a sloth resting in the branches. As the river widens, we arrive at the Lodge, your eco-friendly home deep in the jungle. After settling into your room, enjoy a warm dinner before your guide introduces the wonders of the Cuyabeno Reserve and the exciting adventures ahead.

Awaken to the symphony of the rainforest and, after breakfast, step into a traditional killa de remo canoe for a serene journey to the legendary Laguna Grande. We’ll paddle upriver to Laguna Grande, enjoying a peaceful 1.5-hour ride through the rainforest, spotting unique plants and wildlife along the way. We’ll explore the flooded Igapo forest and see ancient trees like Macrolobium that grow straight from the water.

Hike the Palma Roja Trail for about 3 hours to spot exotic birds, mischievous monkeys, and other hidden treasures of the jungle. After a picnic by the lake, swim in the warm waters and watch as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in gold and crimson.
