Abu Simbel Temples are located on the western bank of Lake Nasser and are known as the Nubian Monuments. The Great Temple at Abu Simbel was dedicated to Amun, Ra-Horakhty and Ptah gods, as well as Ramesses himself and it is the grandest most beautiful Egyptian temples. The Small Temple (also temple of Hathor and Nefertari) was dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Ramesses II’s chief consort, Nefertari
