Furthermore, many local settlements in the area are dominated by the Sherpas. They are the indigenous mountain community who are heavily involved in trekking and mountaineering activities. Many Buddhist heritages and monuments along the trails include monasteries, mani walls, chortens, stone inscriptions, and prayer flags.
Our journey starts as you fly to Lukla from Kathmandu on a morning flight. You will start your trekking adventure to the beautiful destination of Phakding from Lukla. The next stop on the route is Tengboche, where we offer our prayers in the monastery. As the topography of the region changes, the vegetation gets depleted as you arrive at Dingboche. The view of Khumbu Ice-Fall and other snow-clad mountains, including Nuptse, Lhotse, etc., is enchanting. The course then takes you through the beautiful landscapes to reach the Lobuche settlement.
You will reach Gorak Shep from Lobuche, taking you one step closer to EBC. A hike to the Everest Base Camp Trek is quite an exciting part of the journey. After arriving at the base camp, you can explore and take as many pictures as possible. You will return to Gorak Shep for the night before hiking early the following day to Kalapathar.
From this viewpoint, you can observe Everest from its most new angle. The trip ends after an incredible 11 days as you take a heli ride back to Kathmandu.
