Documentaries on Discovery and National Geographic claim that Lukla Airport (also known as Tenzing Hillary Airport) is the most dangerous airport in the entire globe, considering the runway’s steep gradient.

Small twin-propeller Dornier aircraft with a maximum capacity of 14-passenger are used for the epic 30-minutes flight. The experience is made more realistic by the non-pressurized cabins of these tiny aircraft. Cloudy weather and changing air pressure in the high mountains sets you up for a turbulent journey.

The 15 days trek route to Everest Base Camp features a variety of climate zones, with unique animal and plant life. After Phakding and Monjo, you traverse through Sagarmatha National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna.

Sagarmatha National Park has long served as a haven for birds and animals that are on the verge of extinction. The Red Panda and Snow Leopard are two uncommon species found here. Visitors take pleasure in bird watching as well as the scenic Himalayan views. Enjoy the 15 days trek to Everest Base Campexperiencing the Sagarmatha National Park's ambient environment.

Experience the rich culture and unique lifestyle of local Sherpas

You will stay the night in various villages of the Everest region during this Everest Base Camp 15 days trek where you can learn about Sherpa culture and customs. Everyone here is friendly and accommodating. They would be thrilled to part-take in the conversation and perhaps share legends that date back hundreds of years.

Visiting ancient monasteries and chortens enables you to immerse into the rich Buddhist culture of the locals. Most Sherpa youth are engaged in risky mountaineering jobs as other choices of occupation are limited in the remote Everest region.

Take a rest day at the modern Himalayan town of Namche Bazaar

Historical commercial hub, Namche Bazaar located at 3440 meters above sea level is well-known for its artisanal yak cheese and butter. It is situated on the side of an arch-shaped mountain with breathtaking valley-wide views of the enormous Himalayan peaks. Despite its growth, Namche Bazaar has preserved its storied history, traditions, and warm hospitality.

Namche is full of modern amenities including shops, eateries, bars, hotels, and ATMs. The narrow alley in the Namche market, which is shared by yaks, monks, Sherpa traders, and locals, presenting a fresh perspective around each corner.

Witness several mountain peaks in the Khumbu Region

The Everest Base Camp 15 days trek provides breathtaking views of several Himalayan peaks above 8,000 meters, including Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m), and Mt. Makalu (8,463 m), among others. The Everest region also comprises other magnificent mountains like Mt. Nuptse (7,855 m), Mt. Amadablam (6,856 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 (6,679 m).

You will be awed by the stunning mountain scenery of the aforementioned Himalayas as you stand in the shadow of the tallest mountains in the world. This is why the Everest Base Camp 15 Days Trek is one of the most popular and spectacular treks in Nepal.

Hike to Kala Patthar for a clear view of the Everest summit and other mountains

Kala Patthar, which is situated above the Everest base camp at the height of 5644 meters, provides 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains as well as Everest. The Everest Base Camp tour may seem incomplete without an early morning hike to Kala Patthar, as you can only see the Everest summit from here and not from the base camp itself. You can enjoy the glorious sunrise covering the bright white mountains with orange hue.

Furthermore, from Kala Patthar's view point, one can observe the massive peaks of Nuptse, Changtse, and Lhotse. The trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar is unquestionably worthwhile if your luck holds and the weather creates the ideal atmosphere for a brilliant sunrise.

Flight cancellations, delays, and all types of flight penalties are the responsibility of the traveler and the airline company. The supplier bears no responsibility in such cases.

Tours included domestic flight tickets: Certain tour packages feature domestic flight tickets. In this case, the supplier needs to provide you with copies of all your flight tickets, tour vouchers, itinerary, hotel contact information, and confirmation emails.
