Los Cabos Surfing Lessons at Costa Azul

Professional bilingual surf instructors (English and Spanish) provide guidance throughout the surfing lesson at Costa Azul Beach.

Instruction is adapted to each participant's experience and skill level, from beginners learning the fundamentals to intermediate surfers looking to improve their technique.

A maximum ratio of one instructor for every three surfers ensures personalized attention, including safety instructions, surfing techniques, and assistance in the water.

Complimentary bottled water and light snacks, including granola bars, are provided during the surfing experience.

No full meals are included in this tour.

Civil liability insurance is included as part of the tour operator's coverage, subject to the terms, conditions, coverage limits, and exclusions of the applicable insurance policy.

Complimentary round-trip transportation is included from selected hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor in an air-conditioned Chevrolet Express or Toyota Hiace van.

Additional hotel pick-ups may be scheduled along the route. Exact pick-up times and meeting instructions are provided after booking.

Guests staying outside the designated complimentary transportation area, including Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho San Lucas, and Four Seasons Costa Palmas, meet at OXXO Plaza Gali in Cabo San Lucas.

Guests arriving independently may arrange to meet directly at Zippers Beach in Costa Azul, near San José del Cabo. Advance notice is required to confirm the meeting time and instructions.

Cruise passengers meet at OXXO Plaza Gali, not at the cruise pier. Detailed directions are provided with the booking confirmation.

Transportation to and from Costa Azul Beach is included for guests within the designated service area.

SEASON, SCHEDULE AND DURATION

• Operating season: March 15 – November 15.

• Available daily at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

• Approximately 2 hours of surfing activities, plus transportation time.

• Exact hotel pick-up times and meeting instructions are provided after booking.

• Morning departures are generally recommended for more favorable wind and ocean conditions.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum recommended age: 6 years.

• Suitable for beginners and intermediate surfers. Advanced surfers may receive coaching according to their experience.

• Basic physical fitness, swimming ability, and comfort in the ocean are required.

• A maximum ratio of one instructor for every three surfers is maintained.

• This experience is not recommended for pregnant guests or individuals with serious back problems, heart conditions, or medical conditions that may prevent safe participation.

• The activity is not wheelchair accessible.

• Participants under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to join the lesson.

SURFING CONDITIONS AND SAFETY

• Surf lessons take place at Zippers Beach in the Costa Azul area, near San José del Cabo.

• Surfboards, leashes, and rash guards are provided. Wetsuits are available upon advance request.

• Instructors select suitable surfing areas according to the participants' abilities and daily ocean conditions.

• Lesson format and time spent in the water may be adjusted according to waves, tides, currents, and safety considerations.

• If the tour is canceled due to unsafe weather, ocean conditions, or operational restrictions, guests will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

TRANSPORTATION AND MEETING POINTS

• Complimentary round-trip transportation is available from selected hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor.

• Hotels outside the designated complimentary transportation area, including Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho San Lucas, and Four Seasons Costa Palmas, are not included in hotel pick-up service.

• Guests staying at these properties meet at OXXO Plaza Gali in Cabo San Lucas.

• Guests arriving independently may arrange to meet directly at Zippers Beach, subject to advance confirmation.

• Exact pick-up times and meeting instructions are provided after booking.

CRUISE PASSENGERS

• Cabo San Lucas is a tender port. Allow sufficient time for disembarkation.

• We recommend taking the earliest available tender or arranging priority tender service whenever possible.

• Cruise passengers meet at OXXO Plaza Gali, approximately 3–5 minutes walking from the marina exit.

• Detailed walking directions will be provided with the booking confirmation.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND PUNCTUALITY

• If you have not received your final pick-up time or meeting instructions at least 24 hours before your tour, please contact us directly.

• A printed voucher is not required. Your instructor will ask for the reservation name.

• Please arrive punctually at the confirmed meeting point or pick-up location. Guides wait a maximum of 5 minutes.

• No-shows and late arrivals are charged in full.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time of this shared tour.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure and no-shows are charged in full.

• Medical refund requests require an official doctor's certificate issued on the day of the activity and notification before the scheduled start time.

WHAT TO BRING

• Swimsuit and towel.

• Sun protection, including sunscreen and a hat.

• Comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for beach activities.

• Only essential personal belongings. Locker facilities are not available, but belongings may usually remain inside the transportation vehicle during the activity.
