Private Surf Lesson at Zippers Beach, Costa Azul – Los Cabos

Professional bilingual surf instructors (English and Spanish) provide personalized guidance throughout your private surfing lesson at Zippers Beach in Costa Azul.

Instruction is tailored to each participant's experience, confidence, and skill level. Beginners receive step-by-step guidance on surfing fundamentals, while intermediate and advanced surfers can focus on improving their technique, positioning, and wave selection.

A maximum ratio of one instructor for every three surfers ensures individual attention, including safety instructions, surfing techniques, and assistance in the water.

Your instructor adapts the lesson to ocean conditions and each participant's abilities, prioritizing safety and an enjoyable surfing experience.

Complimentary bottled water and light snacks, including granola bars, are provided during the private surfing experience.

No full meals, breakfast, or lunch are included in this tour.

Civil liability insurance is included as part of the tour operator's coverage, subject to the terms, conditions, coverage limits, and exclusions of the applicable insurance policy.

Coverage applies within the scope of the operator's policy during the guided surfing activity. All claims are subject to review by the insurance provider.

This coverage does not replace personal travel or medical insurance.

Complimentary round-trip transportation is included from selected hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor in an air-conditioned Chevrolet Express or Toyota Hiace van.

The surfing lesson takes place at Zippers Beach in the Costa Azul area, near San José del Cabo.

Exact hotel pick-up times and meeting instructions are confirmed after booking, according to the agreed lesson schedule and hotel location.

Hotels outside the designated complimentary transportation area, including Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho San Lucas, and Four Seasons Costa Palmas, are not included in hotel pick-up service. Guests staying at these properties meet at OXXO Plaza Gali in Cabo San Lucas.

Guests arriving independently may arrange to meet directly at Zippers Beach, subject to advance confirmation.

Cruise passengers also meet at OXXO Plaza Gali, not at the cruise pier. Detailed directions are provided with the booking confirmation.

Return transportation to the original hotel or designated meeting point is included after the surfing lesson.

SEASON AND SCHEDULE

• Operating season: March 15 – November 15.

• Available daily, with flexible departures between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM, subject to availability and ocean conditions.

• The time displayed during online booking is a reference. Your preferred lesson time, exact hotel pick-up time, and meeting instructions are confirmed after booking.

• Morning lessons are generally recommended for more favorable ocean conditions.

• From November 15 to March 15, private surfing lessons are offered at Cerritos Beach as a separate experience.

DURATION AND PRIVATE BOOKING

• Approximately 2.5 hours of surfing experience, including 2 hours of surfing instruction and practice, preparation, and breaks, plus transportation time.

• The lesson is exclusively reserved for your group.

• A minimum booking charge equivalent to 2 surfers applies, even if only one guest attends.

• Solo travelers may book by selecting the actual number of participants. No additional guests need to be registered.

• Additional surfers are charged separately.

• A maximum ratio of 1 instructor for every 3 surfers is maintained.

PARTICIPATION AND SAFETY

• Suitable ages: 6–70 years.

• Basic swimming ability, reasonable physical fitness, and comfort in the ocean are required.

• Suitable for beginners and intermediate surfers, with personalized coaching also available for experienced surfers.

• Not recommended for pregnant guests or individuals with serious back or heart conditions. Not wheelchair accessible.

• Lessons take place at Zippers Beach in Costa Azul, near San José del Cabo.

• Surfboards, leashes, and rash guards are provided. Wetsuits are available upon advance request.

• Lesson activities may be adjusted according to waves, currents, weather, and safety conditions.

• If High Tide cancels due to unsafe conditions, guests may reschedule or receive a full refund.

TRANSPORTATION AND MEETING POINTS

• Round-trip transportation is included from selected hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor.

• No complimentary hotel pick-up from Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho San Lucas, or Four Seasons Costa Palmas. Guests staying there meet at OXXO Plaza Gali.

• Independent travelers may arrange to meet directly at Zippers Beach in advance.

• Cruise passengers meet at OXXO Plaza Gali, not at the pier. Allow sufficient time for tender transfers.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATIONS

• Please provide your hotel name or meeting arrangements when booking.

• Arrive punctually; instructors wait a maximum of 5 minutes. No printed voucher is required.

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure. Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

• Medical refund requests require a same-day medical certificate and notification before departure.
