Nagarkot Guided Day Hiking

It is one of the most popular destination for adventure enthusiasts, situated 32 km  east of Kathmandu at an elevation  about 1950 meter above the sea level.   From the summit, it  provides incredible views of Himalayan ranges including Lantang Himal (7246m), Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal,  Sisapanma ( 8013m), Manaslu (8162m), Gaurishanker (7145m),  Mt Everest (8848m), the highest peak of the world, Dhaulagri mountain and beautiful  typical valley. This is an exotic marvelous spot of Kathmandu valley to make the day walking holidays for those people who do not have enough time to make longer trekking in the Himalayan regions but it gives the great perception of trekking in highland region.
The day trip begins with scenic drive from Tridevi Marga, Drive from Thamel to Sankhu (trekking starting point). Sankhu village is a famous pilgrims site of the Kathmandu valley with Temple of Bajrajogini, the Tantric Goddess which it was built on about 17th centaury. Religiously it becomes a famous since 4th century for Hindus and Buddhist devotees.
Commence trek through a beautiful agriculture terrace, typical villages, and Pine and Rhododendron forest. Trekkers can enjoy with natural beauty, spectacular views of snowy mountains and beautiful typical villages and a great chance to chat with local people and experience of local customs during the trip. It reaches at Nagarkot and then drive back to Kathamandu which it takes about one hour driving.
