Private Cabo San Lucas Surfing Lesson at Cerritos

A professional bilingual surf instructor (English and Spanish) is included exclusively for your private group throughout the surfing lesson at Cerritos Beach, Baja California Sur.

Before entering the water, your instructor provides a safety briefing, explains the day's ocean and wave conditions, and introduces essential surfing techniques, including paddling, positioning, balance, standing up, and wave selection.

During approximately two hours of surfing instruction and practice, your instructor provides personalized guidance and assistance in the water, adapting the lesson to each participant's experience, abilities, and the day's surf conditions.

Beginners receive step-by-step instruction, while participants with previous surfing experience can focus on improving their technique and confidence.

The instructor supervises the surfing activities and prioritizes safety throughout the lesson.

An authentic Mexican lunch is included after the private surfing lesson at Cerritos Beach.

Lunch includes tacos, rice, beans, guacamole, traditional Mexican salsas, and one beverage per participant.

Complimentary bottled water and light snacks are also provided during the excursion.

Civil liability insurance is included as part of the tour operator's coverage, subject to the terms, conditions, coverage limits, and exclusions of the applicable insurance policy.

Coverage applies within the scope of the operator's policy during the guided surfing activity. Any claims are subject to review and determination by the insurance provider.

This coverage does not replace personal travel or medical insurance.

Complimentary round-trip transportation is included from selected hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor.

Transportation is provided in a comfortable, air-conditioned van, such as a Chevrolet Express or Toyota Hiace.

Enjoy a scenic drive along the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur to Cerritos Beach, near Todos Santos, where the private surfing lesson takes place.

Exact hotel pick-up times and meeting instructions are confirmed after booking, according to the agreed private tour schedule and hotel location.

Complimentary hotel pick-up is not available from Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho San Lucas, or Four Seasons Costa Palmas. Guests staying at these properties meet at OXXO Plaza Gali in Cabo San Lucas.

Cruise passengers also meet at OXXO Plaza Gali, not at the cruise pier. Detailed walking directions are provided with the booking confirmation.

Guests arriving independently may arrange a meeting point in advance.

Return transportation to the original hotel or designated meeting point is included after the surfing lesson and lunch. Travel times may vary depending on hotel location, traffic, and road conditions.

SEASON, SCHEDULE AND DURATION

• Operating season: November 15 – March 15.

• Available daily during the winter season, with flexible private departures between 7:30 AM and 11:30 AM, subject to availability and ocean conditions.

• Approximately 2 hours of surfing instruction and practice.

• Total excursion duration: Approximately 5.5 hours, including transportation, surfing, and lunch. Actual timing may vary depending on hotel location, traffic, and ocean conditions.

• The time displayed during online booking is a reference. Your preferred lesson time, exact hotel pick-up time, and meeting instructions are confirmed after booking.

• From March 15 to November 15, private surfing lessons are offered at Costa Azul Beach as a separate experience.

PRIVATE BOOKING AND GROUP SIZE

• This experience is exclusively reserved for your group.

• A minimum booking charge equivalent to 3 participants applies, even if only 1 or 2 guests attend.

• Solo travelers and couples may book by selecting the actual number of participants. No additional guests need to be registered.

• A maximum ratio of 1 instructor for every 3 surfers is maintained.

PARTICIPATION AND SAFETY

• Suitable ages: 6–70 years.

• Basic swimming ability, reasonable physical fitness, and comfort in the ocean are required.

• Suitable for beginners and intermediate surfers, with personalized coaching also available for experienced surfers.

• Not recommended for pregnant guests or individuals with serious back or heart conditions. Not wheelchair accessible.

• Surf lessons take place at Cerritos Beach, near Todos Santos.

• Surfboards, leashes, and rash guards are provided. Wetsuits are available upon advance request.

• Lesson activities may be adjusted according to waves, currents, weather, and safety conditions.

• If High Tide cancels due to unsafe conditions, guests may reschedule or receive a full refund.

TRANSPORTATION AND MEETING POINTS

• Round-trip transportation is included from selected hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor.

• No complimentary hotel pick-up from Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho San Lucas, or Four Seasons Costa Palmas. Guests staying there meet at OXXO Plaza Gali.

• Independent travelers may arrange a meeting point in advance.

• Cruise passengers meet at OXXO Plaza Gali, not at the pier. Allow sufficient time for tender transfers.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATIONS

• Please provide your hotel name or meeting arrangements when booking.

• Arrive punctually; instructors wait a maximum of 5 minutes. No printed voucher is required.

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure. Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

• Medical refund requests require a same-day medical certificate and notification before departure.
