Istanbul City Walls Tour takes you around the Old City of Istanbul to show the historical and cultural heritage of the city. City Walls are a heritage of the Byzantine Empire and still stand around the Old City.

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and start to explore the Old City. We drive along the great Byzantine City Walls and stop in Fener (The Greek Orthodox District). Walk around Balat where we see Tekfur Palace (Palace of the Porphyrogenitus), the only palace that has survived from the Byzantine Era up to now. Balat is located on the southern shores of the Golden Horn. It is one of the Jewish districts where Jews were resettled in the Ottoman Empire.

It is located in the Yedikule neighborhood of Fatih. It was built in 1458 by adding three new towers to a section of the Walls of Constantinople which included the Golden Gate.
