Afyonkarahisar Museum

In 1931, the Asari Atika Muhipleri Community started collecting artifacts in Tas Madrasa in Afyonkarahisar province. In late 1933, the first museum was established with this effort. The Afyonkarahisar Museum was located in Tas Madrasa and welcomed visitors until 1970. In 1971, on the Afyonkarahisar Konya highway, a modern museum was built. It is now a museum with 9 exhibition halls displaying artifacts from the Bronze, Hittite, Phrygian, Lydian, Roman, and Byzantine periods.
