Alaaddin Mosque (Beypazari)
Alaaddin Mosque is located in Beypazari District, one of the most exquisite mosques in the city is known as Cami-i Bebir or Pasha Mosque. The mosque, which dates back to the 19th century, is said to have been built by Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat, although there is speculation that it was constructed in place of a previously destroyed mosque. The eastern wall is the only remaining original structure, constructed with cut stone walls that endured major fires in Beypazari. The mosque, is a classic example of Seljuk architecture. This mosque also contains the Beard of the Prophet, a rare artifact found in only a few places in Turkey.
