Amasra Museum

Amasra Museum is situated in the city center of Bartin Province. The first attempts to establish a museum were started in the 1950s by collecting artifacts in the municipal building, and the museum was officially opened in 1982. It takes place in an old-fashioned building that was going to be a maritime school if the construction could be completed in the 1880s. The museum has artifacts from the neighboring ancient sites as usual, but the unique thing here is the armored torso of Emperor Hadrian and sculptures from the Roman Imperial Period.
