Anatolian Fortress

Anatolian Fortress, also known as Guzelce Hisari, stands as an Ottoman fortress nestled within the Anadoluhisarı neighborhood of Istanbul's Beykoz district. It occupies a strategic location where the Goksu Stream merges with the Bosphorus. Constructed in 1395 by Yildirim Bayezid, the Anatolian fortress spans an area of 7,000 square meters and rests 660 meters away from the narrowest point of the Bosphorus. Anatolian Fortress comprises both inner and outer castles, along with the enclosing walls. The inner castle takes the form of a rectangular tower that rises to four stories.
