Arsameia

Arsameia was the capital of the Commagene Kingdom. The Hierothesion of King Mithridates I Kallinikos, which was constructed for him by his son and heir Antiochos I, is one of its most popular artifacts of the ruins. It takes place on the ceremonial road, and the largest known Greek inscription in Anatolia is situated in front of it. On the platform on the hill are the tomb temple and palace of Mithridates I Callinicus. So many other artifacts from the region can be seen in the Gaziantep Museum.
