Ataturk Dam

Ataturk Dam is a dam lake on the Euphrates that covers the provinces of Adiyaman and Sanliurfa. It took nearly ten years to complete, between 1983 and 1992. The dam was built for irrigation and electricity generation. There are viewing terraces, picnic areas, and social facilities around the dam. The dam can be used for various water sports such as sailing, surfing, and rowing.
