Ataturk House Museum (Erzurum)

Ataturk House Museum is located in the Caykara district of Erzurum Province. It was first built by a local at the end of the 19th century. During the Turkish Independence War, Ataturk and his friends stayed here for 52 days to organize the Erzurum Congress. Then it was used as a residence for the Erzurum Corps commanders in the first years of the young republic, and in 1984 it opened as an Ataturk House Museum. All the classical architectural features of the late 19th century and Ataturk’s personal belongings can be seen in the museum.
