Ataturk’s Mausoleum

Ataturk’s Mausoleum takes place in Ankara and, after nine years of construction, was opened for visiting in 1953. Professor Emin Onat and Assistant Professor Ahmet Orhan Arda designed it. It consists of the Road of Lions, the Ceremonial Plaza, the Hall of Honor, the Peace Park, statues, and a museum. It is one of the most visited sites in the city, especially on national days.
