Belisirma Village

Belisirma Village is a village in the well-known visiting site Ihlara Valley, located along the Melendiz River. It has been a settlement since the Hittites and, through the centuries, was a Christian first and later Muslim district. Its name was ’peristrema’ by the Greeks, which can be translated as "nice view". Since the Battle of Dandanaqan in 1040, it was become a Seljuk, and then an Ottoman and Turkish village.
