Bent Bridge

Bent Bridge is a stone arch bridge situated on the Kizilirmak River in Sivas province. The bridge connects the routes of Sivas and Malatya, as well as Syria and Mesopotamia. It has a 130-degree angle and consists of 18 stone arches. It is also located on the Baghdad Silk Road, which passengers used for centuries, but recently the bridge closed to the traffic. The historical resources tell us that it was built during the Seljuk Dynasty. It was renewed in 1585 during the reign of Sultan Murad III and by the Turkish Tourism office in 1983.
