Birgi Cakiraga Mansion

Birgi Cakiraga Mansion is one of the first and rare buildings in the Aegean region that could keep its original architectural features. Serif Aliaga, a wealthy merchant, built it in Izmir's Odemis district in 1761. The mansion has three floors and was restored in the 1990s. Its decoration in all sections is among the best of its kind. It is a good idea to go there to learn about daily Ottoman life and classical Turkish architecture.
