Blaundus Ancient City

Blaundus is an ancient city that was most likely founded during the Hellenistic period by Alexander the Great's military expedition to Anatolia. It was then ruled by the Pergamum kingdom, the Roman Empire, and the Byzantine Empire. It is situated on a peninsula-like ridge in the northeast part of Sulumenli village. Usak Museum and Usak University have been doing archeological digs at the site since 2018, and a stadion, theater, temple in the Ionic order, aqueducts, and various rock tombs have been unearthed.
