Boyabat Castle

Boyabat Castle is located approximately an hour's drive from Sinop's city center. It was constructed by the Paphlagonians in the 7th century BC. Throughout the reigns of the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires, it was used and repaired; hence, today, it has traces belonging to these empires. It is situated on a 135-meter hill. Today, it functions as a museum.
