Burmali Minaret Mosque

Burmali Minaret Mosque takes its name from its minaret shape, which looks like a twist, and is located in Amasya. But formerly it was called Ulu Mosque or Mahkeme Mosque. According to the resources, it was built in 1242 by Necmeddin Ferruh and Yusuf's brothers, who were Kaykhusraw II’s vizier and treasure officer. It was damaged by the earthquake in 1590 and the fire in 1602; its wooden minaret was destroyed in 1730 by a great fire. The current one was built with stone, and the mosque has started to be called Burmali Minaret Mosque.
