Cavusin Village & Archeologic Site

Cavusin Village is one of the oldest settlements in Cappadocia, located on the Goreme-Avanos road. The Christians who were escaping from the Romans' pressure settled here ages ago and carved the fairy chimneys and used them as houses. The local people are still living in these fairy chimney houses today. The Cavusin Church and the Church of St. John the Baptist are the two special churches that you shouldn’t miss on your visit. Cavusin is also a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking and trekking trails, horseback riding, and ATV safaris available.
