Cholpon-Ata

Cholpon-Ata, which means "Venus-Father" in reference to a mythological protector, is a town situated on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. It serves as the administrative center of the Issyk-Kul District within the Issyk-Kul Region, which covers the majority of the lake's northern shore. Tamchy is located to the west of Cholpon-Ata along Highway A363, while Bosteri is situated to the east.
