Edirne Clock Tower

Ottoman governor Haci Izzet Pasha added wooden floors and clocks to it in the second half of the 1800s, and it became known as the clock tower and, for a time, the Nation Hour. It was demolished by an earthquake in 1953. Today the ruins are an "Urban Archaeological Park."
