Erciyes Mountain

Erciyes Mountain is a well-known stratovolcano in mostly Kayseri Province. It is the highest mountain in Central Anatolia; the summit is almost 4000 m, and it is included in the Alpine belt. According to the descriptions on Roman coins, Erciyes erupted in 253 BC for the last time. Today, it is one of the most popular skis and winter sports centers in Turkey.
