Giresun Castle

Giresun Castle is situated in Giresun Province on the Black Sea coast of Turkey. It was built in the 2nd century BC during the reign of Pharnaces I of Pontus. The ancient resources mention it as the "Bronze Wall Castle." It was repaired by Alexios II of Trebizond in the 14th century. The Ottoman officer Topal Osman’s tomb and the tomb of Kurban Dede, can be visited in the castle.
