Giresun Museum

The Giresun Museum is housed in the restored 18th-century church of St Nicholas. It is situated in the Zeytinlik neighborhood, formerly known as the Gogora neighborhood. It was constructed in the middle of the 19th century, and Greeks continued to use it until the city's population transfer in 1924. Before being restored and made into a museum in 1988, it had been abandoned since 1948. The museum displays ancient objects from the Old Bronze Age, Hittite, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman eras, as well as weapons, clothing, and coin samples.
