Gokce Dam

The Gokce Dam was built in Yalova between 1980 and 1989 with the purpose of harnessing the power of the Gokcedere River to supply a dependable source of drinking water. This rock body fill type dam boasts a volume of 1,330,000 m³ and stands at a height of 62.00 m above the stream bed. With a normal water level lake volume of 25.50 hm³ and a normal water level lake area of 1.28 km², the dam is capable of supplying up to 37 hm³ of drinking water annually.
