Golyazi


Golyazi is a town in the Nilufer district of Bursa Province. It takes place on the coast of Lake Uluabat. It has long been known that the town was founded by the Greeks during the ancient era. Its former name was Apolloniatai or Apolloniada. During the Byzantine era, the Roman Emperor Hadrian visited the city. Today it is a Turkish town, and the seaside town of Tirilye, Lake Uluabat, the Apollonia ruins, and the remains of the old Greek Church can be visited in the region. Most of the travelers watch the sunset from the Zambak hill.
