Grand Mosque (Adana)

The Grand Mosque, also called Ramazanogullarg Mosque or Adana Ulu Mosque, is one of the most significant historical buildings in Adana, and it is the largest one since Sabanci Merkez Mosque was built. It was built between 1509 and 1541 by Ramazanoglu Halil and his son Mehmet. Architecturally, it has Seljuk and Mamluk features. It was damaged by an earthquake in 1998, restored, and reopened in 2004.
