Habib –I Neccar Mosque

Habib-i Neccar Mosque was built in 638 when Araps captured Hatay province. It is located on Kurtulus Street and is considered the first mosque in Anatolia. According to the rumors, Habib-i Neccar is a person who first believed in Jesus' apostles and died for his belief in the city. The mosque was built where he died. In the northeast corner of the mosque, a few meters below the ground, there are the tombs of Habib-Neccar and Sem'un Safa, and at the entrance, apostles John and Pavlos can be visited.
