Hagia Irene Museum
Hagia Irene is a church located in the first courtyard of Topkapi Palace. It has been known that the church was built with the materials of the Artemis, Afrodit, and Apollon temples that were once here. The museum was built by Constantine the Great at the beginning of the 4th century. It was destroyed during the Nika revolt in 532 and rebuilt by Justinian I with Hagia Sophia. Today it is a museum and a hall of cultural events.
