Hatay Archaeological Museum

Hatay Archaeological Museum has been open since 2014 visitors to a modern building. The Museum's collection includes artifacts from the periods Paleolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze Age, Hittite, Hellenistic, Roman, Eastern Roman, Seljuk, and Ottoman. It has the largest mosaic collection in the world and displays them on 3250 m2. The masterpieces of the museum are the huge statue of King Shuppiliuma, the Antioch Sarcophagus, the Sculpture of Goddess Ishtar, and the Angular skulls. The museum's rarest and most significant mosaics are Deserted Ariadne, Yakto, Satyr, and Hermaphroditos, Seasons, The Birth of Venus, Artemis, and the Skeleton.
