Hatay Necmi Asfuroglu Archaelogical Museum

Hatay Necmi Asfuroglu Archaeological Museum was founded in 2009 in Hatay Province. During a hotel excavation in the city center, some archeological remains were found. The museum was founded to protect these remains from being destroyed. The museum, on the other hand, opened for visits in 2019. In the museum, Roman mosaics can be seen on their original platforms, which makes it a remarkable museum among its peers. The mosaics date from the second century BC and depict mythological figures such as Pegasus, nymphs, and muses. The museum also houses the world's largest single-piece mosaic, which measures 1050 square meters.
