Heraklion

Heraklion is the fourth largest city in Greece and takes place on Crete Island. It is both the largest city and the capital of the Greek island of Crete. According to Euromonitor, the destination is one of the fastest-growing travel destinations. It is the 20th most-visited city in Europe and 66th in the world in 2018. The sites Palace of Knossos, Old Town, Koules Fortress, Heraklion Archaeological Museum, Cathedral of St. Minas, Agios Titos Church, and the Ancient Venetian Walls are in the travelers' itineraries.
