Hoskoy

Hoskoy is a tiny village in the Sarkoy district of Tekirdag. The name Hoskoy comes from the Greek word Hora, and during the Ottoman era, the population was mostly Greek. The Hora Lighthouse, built in 1861 by the Ottomans and French, is housed in Hoskoy village. Olive and grape agriculture is the main livelihood of the region, and it is possible to find fresh fish dishes every season. Besides vintage tours, paragliding and trekking tours are held in the village.
